Reassessment of plant growth regulator Meteor

Your views are sought on an application to reassess the restrictions on the use of Meteor, a substance used to thin pip fruit.

AgriNova NZ Limited has applied for the reassessment. They want to reduce the maximum application rate control and for the restricted entry interval for workers to be re-evaluated. Reducing buffer zone restrictions will also be considered in this application.

This is being conducted as a modified reassessment. This means only certain aspects of the approval will be re-evaluated.

On 12 November 2018, a decision-making committee decided that grounds for the reassessment existed because there was ‘information showing a significant change of use’.
