OMV GSB Limited

OMV GSB Limited have lodged a marine discharge consent application.

The application, lodged on 14 February 2019, is for the discharge of trace amounts of harmful substances from deck drains of a Mobile Offshore Drilling unit, as offshore processing drainage.

The discharge will take place within Petroleum Exploration Permit (PEP) area PEP50119 within the Great South Basin, offshore Otago. The duration of the consent is sought to the end of 2030.

Reports and advice received during the submission period – 15 May 2019

On 13 May 2019, we produced a Key Issue Report for the Decision-making Committee (DMC) and Oil and Gas Solutions Ltd provided a report to the DMC containing a technical assessment of the information provided in the application documents.

If you have already made a submission on OMV GSB’s marine discharge consent application, there is no need to resubmit this information to the EPA. However, you can amend or add to your submission following the release of the Key Issues Report and the Oil and Gas Solutions Pty Ltd’s report to the DMC. If you wish to amend or add to your submission, please indicate this clearly.
