Close of the Hearing

The Decision-making Committee (DMC) adjourned the hearing on 8 September 2020, so it could fully consider the information it had been provided, and decide whether to request further information. On 28 September 2020, the DMC issued Minute 6 closing the hearing.

Information about the Hearing

Change from face-to-face hearing to remote hearing

On 26 August 2020, the DMC issued Minute 3 advising that following the announcement of COVID-19 Alert Levels on Monday 24 August 2020, the hearing for the Beach Energy application would be conducted by means of video conference as a fully remote hearing on Tuesday 8 September 2020.

We also issued the hearing schedule which outlined the dates and times parties were to appear at the hearing.

Hearing procedures 

On 24 July 2020, the DMC issued Hearing procedures that sets out the rules and timeframe by which the hearing process will run (including the pre-hearing stage). The hearing procedures outline key dates and provide information on matters such as communicating with the DMC and other parties, provision of copies of documents, evidence requirements, the hearing, and guidelines for the media.
