Fast-track decision extends Canterbury subdivision
27 August 2021
An expert consenting panel has given resource consent to a new two-part subdivision, south of Christchurch.
Faringdon South East and South West extends an existing development near Rolleston. It’s proposed the new subdivision will create nearly 1,000 new residential housing lots, alongside neighbourhood centres and associated infrastructure and amenities.
The fast-track decision comes 62 working days after the application was lodged with the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA).
The EPA is not involved in the decision-making – we provide advice and administrative support for the Panel Convener, Judge Newhook, and the expert consenting panels he appoints.
