EPA stakeholder event

23 April 2018

On Thursday 19 April we held our inaugural stakeholder event. The Hon Eugenie Sage, Associate Minister for the Environment, was guest of honour.

More than 60 key stakeholders and partners attended. The aim was to share with them key elements of our work, and to discuss the ways we can work together to ensure New Zealand and New Zealanders remain protected.

The Hon Eugenie Sage spoke at length about the government’s commitment to ensuring the safe management of hazardous substances.

EPA presentations given by our Board Chair, Kerry Prendergast, and CEO Dr Allan Freeth are available here. Tim Strabala, Principal Scientist in our New Organisms team also gave a presentation about New Zealand's GMO releases which is available here.

It is envisaged that this will become a regular event as part of our commitment to customer centricity and engagement.
