We received a Pre-Activity Notification from Vodafone under Regulation 11(a) of the EEZ (Environmental Effects–Permitted Activities) Regulations to lay a new submarine cable between Raglan, New Zealand and Sydney, Australia. This project is a joint venture between Vodafone, Spark New Zealand and Telstra and will involve burying the cable using a plough.

We have received a Pre-Activity Notification from Hawaiki Submarine Cable to conduct a submarine cable installation from Mangawhai Heads to Norfolk Island. They intend to conduct a Pre-lay Grapnel Run, cable installation by submarine plough burial and direct surface lay, and a post-lay inspection by a remotely operated vehicle.
