We received a pre-activity notification from ASN Marine to conduct cable-laying activities within the EEZ, connecting New Zealand with Australia, the Pacific, including Fiji, Tokelau, Samoa and Kiribati, and the United States. ASN Marine will conduct the initial laying of the fibre cable in the first instance, and complete a post-lay burial and inspection on the second.

We received a pre-activity notification from Vodafone to lay a new submarine cable between Raglan, New Zealand and Sydney, Australia. This project is a joint venture between Vodafone, Spark New Zealand and Telstra and will involve burying the cable using a plough.

We have received a pre-activity notification from Hawaiki Submarine Cable to conduct a submarine cable installation from Mangawhai Heads to Norfolk Island. They intend to conduct a Pre-lay Grapnel Run, cable installation by submarine plough burial and direct surface lay, and a post-lay inspection by a remotely operated vehicle.
