This project involves the construction of 100 residential units, a 36-bed care unit and associated facilities in a new retirement village situated on Outlet Road Wanaka.
The facilities include a private hospital, walking and cycling facilities, a cafe, gym, swimming pool and community centre. On 12 March 2021, the applicant, Winton Property Limited, lodged this application with the EPA.
At any time before the Expert Consenting Panel issues its final decision on the Northbrook Wanaka Retirement Village resource consent application, it can request further information from the applicant (as well as other parties) under clause 25(1)(a) Schedule 6 of the Act. On 19 March 2021, the EPA determined that the application complied with the requirements set out in clause 3, Schedule 6 of the Act, and the referral order, and provided it to the panel appointed to determine the application.
